In window 7, when we try to pin My Computer, instead of being pinned independently, it gets pinned in Windows Explorer. So i have a trick for this.
If we can create a shell link to my computer in create a link for this, and then we try to pin it, it should work.
Lets do this.
1. On desktop, right click i free space and select New > Shortcut
2. Now in the location of the item field, just Type
"%windir%\explorer.exe shell:MyComputerFolder"
3. Click next, and Type name "My Computer"
4. Click finish.
the above step will create a shortcut for My Computer, now you can drag and drop it to your quick launch bar, and it will surely work. But by default its ICON will be of Windows Explorer. Now we will change the icon of the created shortcut.
1.Right click on the shortcut you have just created.
2.Click Shortcut Tab
